Biography

John Gokey resides in North Hudson, NY with is wife Jean of thirty-two years. They have raised four children and are the proud grand-parents of several grandchildren, with many of whom are actively involved in the family business. Together they have been self-employed in the retail business for over thirty years and have been involved in the auction business for the past twenty years. |

The Gokeys specialize in Estate & Business Liquidations and are now qualified to perform Real Estate Auctions as they have their New York Real Estate License. They conduct approximately 30-40 auctions annually on site and at their modern auction facilities in North Hudson. They also provide their services for non-profit fun raising events. In the past they have participated in Auctions with Children's Hospitals, Fire Departments, School & Church groups, National Rifle Association, Schenectady Museum, 4-H groups and other worth wile causes. John Gokey is a graduate of Florida Auctioneers Academy in Orlando, Florida and a former member of the Florida Auction Association. The Gokeys are both members of the Ring Masters International (RMI) a Professional Auction Ring man's Association. They are also members of the New York State Auctioneers Association, in which John Gokey serves as a board member. John is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association. Both Gokeys have successfully completed required courses and are Certified "CAGA" Appraisers and members of the Certified Appraisal Guild of America. The Gokeys are always working to increase their auction knowledge and skills by regularly attending the auction association seminars and conventions as well as the continuing real estate education courses. The Gokeys are members of and regularly attend St. Mary-St. Paul Catholic Church of Hudson Falls, NY.
